Houston Gun Show report
Did the big Houston collectors gun show yesterday at reliant.
Ammo: Quite a bit there, all the common rounds. LOTS of import stuff. Prices were higher than what you could get from the stores. AK/SK: Very few AK, SKS out there, I think I saw 5 total SKS, and about 20 AR variants. NO AK 74, NO Bulgarian AK AR: Plenty there, prices seem to be coming back down, about what you would see at gun store or gunbroker. Place was packed. Lots of pistol action going on in sales. Didn't see too much happening with rifles.. 50 Cal ammo cans: 15-20 bucks. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Did see a guy drop his new Kahr 9mm on the floor when trying out a holster. That's gonna leave a mark. Personally, I bought nothing... Did play around with a few NcStar scopes. Not too bad for a throw down piece of glass. May get one for the range guns. |

Re: Houston Gun Show report
When were you there? I was there all day Saturday. It cleared out just before lunch and was actually enjoyable all afternoon, no big crowds.
I saw several 74s, WASRs, Tantals, and a few bulgies. There were at least two tables full of Arsenals, and I saw a SAM7 for 600 bucks. It was well used but should have been bought. Prices are definitely coming back to reality. I saw a LOT of price tags with 1000 and 850 scratched out, and 750 showing (or something like that). I bought a flask for my 1860 Army and a couple of boxes of HSM match ammo to try in the Crazy Horse, but as I'm broke I didn't pick anything exciting up. But there were definitely some deals there. |
